Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age est un groupe de stoner rock californien fondé en 1996 après la dissolution du groupe Kyuss. A l'origine baptisé Gamma Ray par son guitariste et chanteur Josh Homme et son batteur Alfredo Hernandez, le groupe change pour Queens of the Stone Age ; en effet Gamma Ray était déjà utilisé par le célèbre groupe de speed metal allemand. En 1998 sort l'album Queens of the Stone Age qui connaît un succès immédiat. Peu après la fin de l'enregistrement, Nick Oliveri rejoint alors le groupe pour la tournée. Read more on Last.fm
