Saxon (English heavy metal band)

Saxon est un groupe de la NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) , créé à la fin des années 70 . Malgré des titres légendaires comme "Princess of the night", "747 strangers in the night", "strong arm of the law", "wheels of steel","20,000 feet"ou "Heavy metal thunder", un live incontournable et une production avoisinant 1 album par an, Saxon resta toujours dans l'ombre d'autres groupes de la NWOBHM tels que Iron Maiden, Tygers of Pan Tang ou Def Leppard qui eurent succès plus prononcé dans la période "80's" .
